After several years spent in Canada and backing up artists like Billy Lee Riley and Eddie Bond, Roy decided to go back to Europe and started the band again in 2010 with a new line up called: The Mellow Kings.
The influences of the sextet are in a range of Blues, Rhythm & Blues, Swing and Rockin’ from the late 40’s to the early 60’s, with artists such as Ike Turner, Ray Charles, T-Bone Walker, Larry Williams, Little Richard, Young Jessie, Rosco Gordon, Amos Milburn, Freddie King…. in addition to lots of self-penned songs that accurate their set lists with a rockin’ and kickin’ atmosphere and a sizzlin’ guitar.
